WHATSAPP TRICKS

Whatsapp quickly moved from a small start to one of the world's most popular messaging applications, with over one billion users.

Although you can use it every day, you do not know the tricks and hidden features hidden in the application.

Here are our 16 favorites.

Use the new font to write

To change the font of your WhatsApp messages, use the `symbol three times on each side of the word. For example, `` `Hello``. The symbol - do not go wrong with '- is available on the Android keyboard, but not on the iOS standard. If you use an Apple device for WhatsApp, you can copy and paste that `` and use it on either side of the word.

Send the same message to several people without knowing it

At the top left of the WhatsApp Chats screen there is a little used function called Broadcast Lists. This allows you to send the same message to several contacts at once without knowing it, much like the "Bcc" button on the emails.

Rather than turning to Facebook to invite people to a party event or ask several people if they want to play football without setting up a group chat, you can do it with a message in WhatsApp.

Go to Chats -> Mailing lists -> New list -> add contacts and write your message -> click send. The message and their response will appear in your private conversation with each person, but with a small megaphone icon next to it. Your contacts will have no idea that the message was sent to anyone except those.

Bold, Italic, Strikethrough

You can format text in WhatsApp messages by adding symbols before and after words.

To add bold asterisks to either side of a word or phrase, eg. *bold*

Italicize a message with underlining, eg. _italics_

For stained text, add tildes, eg ~ grooved ~

You can also combine the formats by adding several symbols before and after a word, such as            _ * bolditalics * _.

Discover who you're talking to

To find out who your best friends are on WhatsApp, if you have an iOS device, go to Settings -> Account -> Storage Usage. Here you will see a list of people and groups in your message on WhatsApp and the total number of interactions you have had with that person / group.

If you select "Size" at the bottom right of the screen, you can see who you spent most WhatsApping data.

View the amount of data used by WhatsApp and reduce it

For the distribution of the total amount of data that you use on WhatsApp, see Settings -> Data Usage -> Network Usage.

In the data usage menu, you can limit the amount of data WhatsApp uses by allowing the application to automatically upload images, audio, videos, and documents when your phone is connected to Wi- Fi.

You can also select the Low Data Usage mode to reduce the amount of data used for WhatsApp calls.

Mute group cats too tight

If you have one or two group messages that keep moving, you can calm the cat for eight hours, a week or a year. Access the chat and press the group name -> Mute -> select the time. You can also cancel notifications on individual conversations.

Check personal information that unknown users can see

If you have already been added to a group chat with people you do not know, or if you have moved a Tinder conversation to WhatsApp, but you are not sure to go anywhere, you can restrict the information that these users know about you.

Go to Settings -> Account -> Privacy and Change Recently Viewed, Profile Picture and Status in My Contacts. This means that only registered users in your directory will be able to view your image and your last online connection.

Share documents

You can now share documents directly from your Google Drive and iCloud Drive in a WhatsApp chat.

Touch the up arrow to the left of the text window -> Share Document -> select where to share a document, including Google Drive and iCloud Drive.

Read messages without blue ticks

If you want to give yourself time to reply to a message on WhatsApp without the other person seeing the dreaded blue ticks, this tip will help. It allows you to read a message without giving the game.

Once you receive the message, do not open it and ignore the notifications on your Home screen.

Open Airplane mode, which blocks Wi-Fi and mobile data, and prevents any new messages from arriving

Open WhatsApp to read the entire message

Close the application completely, and then disable the Airplane mode. Despite reading the message, the blue ticks will not be displayed.

If read receipts are the loss of your WhatsApp existence, you can completely disable them by going to Settings -> Account -> Privacy and disabling read receipts.

Stop incoming pictures and videos automatically saved on your phone

If you're fed up with pictures that friends have sent to you in your phone's photo stream, go to Settings -> Cats -> turn off Save incoming media.

Add dates to your calendar

If you specify a date or time for an activity in a WhatsApp chat on an iOS device, the date will appear in blue and highlighted. Tap the hyperlink and give you the option of creating an event in your calendar. This only works if you are accurate with the dates, eg Tuesday 17 rather than Tuesday.

Add a shortcut to the screen for individual cats

You can set up a home screen icon that binds directly to individual cats by tapping the chat and holding the Add Shortcut shortcut. An icon of the person's profile image will appear on your home screen, but only if you have an Android phone.

Another Android shortcut only is that you can reply to messages without opening WhatsApp. You can activate the feature by going to Settings -> Notifications -> choose Always show popup window. Notifications that appear when you receive a message will give you the ability to reply from the locked screen.

For iOS, you can activate a fast response feature by downloading a third-party application.

Use WhatsApp on your computer

You can send and receive WhatsApp messages on your computer using the WhatsApp Web browser version or the desktop application.

To use WhatsApp Web, go to web.whatsapp.com on your computer and Settings -> WhatsApp Web on your phone. Scan the QR code displayed on your desktop screen using your phone's camera until they connect. The version of two browsers in the application will only work if your phone stays on, connected to Wi-Fi and close to the computer.

If you want WhatsApp to run on your computer more permanently, you can download the desktop application. Like WhatsApp Web, the application connects to your computer via a QR code and works only if your phone is present.

Transferring files between your phone and your computer

With WhatsApp Web and desktop, you can transfer files between your phone and your computer with relative ease by sending them to yourself in a message.

The easiest way to auto-message is to create a group with a friend and then delete them

Connect your phone to your computer using the QR code on WhatsApp Web or on the desktop

Send a file from your phone and watch it appear on your computer

To save a file on your computer, click it and tap the download icon

Protect your chats

Do not read your messages by preventing the first line from appearing on your home screen. Go to Settings -> Notifications -> Disable Preview Preview.

You can also prevent curious friends from happening on your cats by adding a password to WhatsApp via a third-party application, such as AppLock for Android or iAppLock for iOS.
